UPDATE : 1/08/2010 -- MARC Times Racing News & Midwest Racing Scene had the opportunity today to speak with Chris Stearns (son of Mike Stearns) and we were given the Stearns side of this story.
According to Chris, there are several inaccuracies in the MLive.com article and he'd like to set the record straight:
"Our family has hired a lawyer and we are going to defend ourselves to the full extent of the law. The whole truth will come out, I ask that people not jump to conclusions and think that my Dad is some kind of monster and that Casey is a completely innocent victim."
