Waynesfield Raceway Park would like to announce a minor schedule change that will allow the UMP Modified teams the opportunity to run at the Fremont(OH) Speedway. On May 29th the Modifieds have been replaced by the 1000cc Mini Sprints. The following week, June 5th The 1000cc Mini Sprints have been replaced by the UMP Modifieds. This will ensure that neither class loses any dates, as well as ensuring that the modified teams get the opportunity to race at a different facility that hasn't been a modified staple in the past.
WRP promoter Dean Miracle said that this schedule change is being made in cooperation with Fremont Speedway's Rich Farmer in order to make sure that our modified teams that plan to go for the perfect attendance prize of a new Laser Chassis do not have to make a choice between the 2 tracks. "We want to make sure that our teams get a chance to run at a new track", said Miracle. "Rich and I discussed getting the modifieds up to Fremont, and this was the best date for both tracks. By swapping the Modifieds on May 29th and the Mini Sprints on June 5th, the fans at Waynesfield still get 4 classes of racing, and the fans at Fremont get to see something new."
Waynesfield Raceway Park opens the season with a 2 day show on Saturday April 17th, featuring the Lee's Hydraulics Non Wing Sprints, Fowler and Hadding 1000cc Mini- Sprints, JR and Sons Service Center Compacts and the Miracle Motorsports 4 Cylinder Tuff Trucks, and Sunday April 18th, featuring the UMP Super Late Models, Post Agri-Service UMP Modifieds, JR and Sons Service Center Compacts, and Miracle Motorsports 4 Cylinder Tuff Trucks.
